Yukon Gear Kits for front and rear gear changes

Yukon Gear Kits®

Yukon Gear & Axle has created the perfect front and rear gear kits that use a single part number. Our Gear Kit Package ratios are from 3.73 to 5.38, and the kits contain all the gears, bearings, and small parts needed to fully rebuild a differential for your four-wheel drive.

Looking for a more comprehensive kit to match your vehicle? Yukon Master Overhaul kits give you all the high-quality parts you need for your differential job. These kits start with Timken bearings and include crush sleeves and oil baffles and slingers, if these items are applicable to your upgrade project.

Features:

  • Each gear kit is tested to meet exacting specifications dimensionally, for hardness via heat-treating, and torsional strength.
  • Yukon offers more tailor-made kits than any other manufacturer in the industry to meet your specific installation needs.
  • Master Overhaul kits include carrier bearings and races, pinion bearings and races, pinion seal, complete shim kit, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, thread locking compound, marking compound with brush, gasket, and other items if applicable.

Make it easy on yourself with front and rear end gears and the best kits on the market. We do the manufacturing and testing; you make one simple selection. Choose Yukon.

YUKON STAGE 2 RE-GEAR KITS FOR JEEPS

Yukon Gear & Axle® Stage 2 Re-Gear Kits consist of front and rear Yukon ring and pinion gear sets, installation kits, and front and rear Yukon Hardcore Diff Covers. The kits can be ordered in gear ratios ranging from 3.73, 4.11, 4.56, 4.88, 5.13, and 5.38. They are available in a variety of Rubicon and non-Rubicon applications for JK, JL, and JT Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT GEAR RATIO

There are three main reasons to re-gear your ride. The first is to recapture the lost drivability and fuel efficiency of a daily driven vehicle that has been upgraded with larger wheels and tires. The second is to fine-tune the performance characteristics of a vehicle that is a dedicated off-roader, tow rig, or drag racer where the focus is more on low-end grunt and acceleration. The third is to improve fuel efficiency.

THE SOUNDS OF DEATH: A FAILING DIFFERENTIAL STORY

Breaking a differential can be a sudden, horrific event. If you’ve haunted the drag strip you’ve undoubtedly seen the loud, fully cammed hot rod drop the clutch then drop a load of gears and metal on the track. Out on the trail, a struggling rig finally hooks up and the sudden torque is too much for the diff, grenading the unit to its ultimate demise.
